"Baxter"
CH Angelwing Chevas Regal
Sire: CH Krisala Constant Comment
DAM: CH Hot Stuff From Ragmop
Baxter, December 2009
Baxter is our first Tibbie and was our introduction to the world of the Tibetan Spaniel. He was bred by Sharon and Ned Shevelson of Angelwing Tibetan Spaniels and has a pedigree that contains several TSCA National Specialty Winners. As a puppy Baxter was evaluated by well-known Tibbie breeder and AKC Judge Linda Foiles who said she expected him to be 'a puppy flyer.' He went on to finish his championship at nine months of age with majors and BOB wins over specials. |
We met the Shevelsons, members of the TSCA, at the Golden Gate Kennel Club show in 2006 when they were showing Ch Flolin Ain’t It A Fact, bred by Linda Foiles. After several months of research and talking with several breeders we were pleased that Baxter came to live with us at our home in San Francisco.
The Shevelsons recommended that we find a weekly conformation class and we soon found the San Mateo Dog Training Club. We are grateful to Sharon and Ned for their attention and availability to us and sharing their committment to breeding excellent dogs of sound structure and temperament.

Sire: Ch Ambrier Tsand' Zelitful Zigie, ROMX
Dam: Ch Nee Rose Haus Golden Abby ROM
Owners: Patricia C. Sarles & Kevin F. Wassong
Breeder: Erin Eidson & Kathy Bronzini

Pat Sarles of Wassong Tibetan Spaniels is an on-going inspiration to us, both personally and professionally. Pat generously shares with us from her wealth of knowledge about the breed and we prize her 'counsel' and guidance.
Linda Foiles of Flolin Tibetan Spaniels has also been helpful as we have learned from her long experience in breeding Tibetan Spaniels. Linda was the breeder of Truman, Baxter's grandfather, who was the first Tibbie we met, several years ago at the Golden Gate Kennel Club
Cathy Blink of Driftwood Dalmatians and the San Mateo Dog Training Club was the instructor of the conformation class we regularly attended. Her patience and good humor and long experience in showing dogs kept us focused in learning new skills.
Larry and Jane Jensen of Wanasea Tibetan Spaniels were also an early source of support and we are grateful for their friendship and advice. We especially appreciate Larry's help in developing our first website.
We have also been helped and taught about the breed in new frendships and conversations at local shows here in Northern California and at the 2007 and 2008 Tibetan Spaniel Club of America National Specialty shows with the following friends and breeders:
*Pat Sarles & Kevin Wassong (Wassong Tibetan Spaniels), *Linda Foiles (Flolin Tibetan Spaniels), *Li and Greg Craven (Tamzil), *Pat Burriss (Ragmop), *Kelly Kerns (Te Amo), *Nancy Cook (Nanjo), *Elaine Oxborrow (Aquila), & *Lexine Thompson (HiDesert).
Finally, conversations with Mallory C. Driskell (Ambrier Tibetan Spaniels) at the 2007 and 2008 National Specialties have been especially enjoyable and helpful.
